Let me tell you a story.

I'm a writer, lyricist, and storyteller based in New York City, originally from Brisbane, Australia.

With a career spanning nonprofit marketing and communications, I've always been drawn to person-centered storytelling — work that puts human experience at its heart and ultimately exists to help people.

After showcasing my original musical Flaws and All at Adelaide Fringe Festival, I relocated to NYC where I reimagined the show with a new composer — reworking the music and retitling it Perfectly Imperfect. When COVID-19 closed theatres, I turned the story into a novel, exploring my characters in a new light while keeping the same message at its heart.

I wrote this particular story because I believe it is familiar to all — and because I want women to feel brave enough to truly understand themselves.

Over the years, I have also continued to write short stories. I love telling a tale, and more often than not, will go into much more detail than necessary. For some, these conversations are inviting and intoxicating, and a time to get lost in a world that is not their own. Others prefer I get to the point a little faster, maybe it’s their appetite to hear the last page first or they seek an abstract version where they can fill in the blanks themselves. With time being a luxury many of us can’t afford yet crave, I decided to take my thoughts, experiences, and imagination to create quick stories that readers can escape in.

I hope that the words I have strung together lead you on a path you find compelling, and you take from each story what you will, not what I might tell you.
